This is just what I was looking for! February 9, 2007 PT Cruiser (CA USA) 9 out of 12 found this review helpful
We've changed over most of the lightbulbs in our home to compact fluorescents but were having trouble finding replacements for our 3 way bulbs. I ordered 3 of these and couldn't be happier. I did have to buy a new harp (the wire thing that holds the lampshade) for $1.99 at Walmart because the bulb was a fraction of an inch too high for the 8 inch harp. The light is soft and not harsh and we now have bulbs for all our 3 way lamps and are saving $$$ on energy costs.
It's a year and a half later and I'm still loving these bulbs. They continue to work perfectly and I've had no complaints from other family members. (I don't think they even realized I changed the bulbs!) Along with changing all the other bulbs in the house to compact fluorescents, we're saving about $30 a month on our electric bill.

Essential for the environment, and a great long-term money saver. Also such a respite from changing light bulbs frequently...I'm not tall and that was a nuisance.
Three Way, Hardly February 11, 2007 Monty (CHICAGO, ILLINOIS United States) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
This product produces marginally more light at its higest range in comparison to the lowest. It is alright for lighting a room, but not for reading.
3 way that is really a 2 way March 30, 2007 Lawrence J. Reinholt 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I am switching my whole house over to CF Bulbs. All I have left are 3 way and dimmable.
These are essentially 2 way bulbs, so if you really are looking for the 50/100/150, this isn't it.
It's a fine 2 way bulb.
3 way compact fluorescent bulb May 12, 2007 J. Cormack (Potomac, Maryland United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
There are 3 settings, one bulb, must vary voltage, difference in brightness for each setting is much less than for incandescent bulb.
Not worth the high price.
